Job Details
We are looking for a restaurant manager to join our team!
This is a great opportunity to work with a passionate and young team that prides itself to deliver great Italian food and a growing beverage program that features more than 500 natural wines labels from all over the world.
Restaurant manager will closely work with GM, Beverage director and Head Chef with the following key responsibilites:
  • Direct supervision of the FOH employees on a daily basis, ensuring quality during service and make sure the team stays on task delegating assignments as needed
  • Assist with the hiring, on-boarding and continously training of the employees
  • Run daily service pre-shift meetings
  • Creating and adjusting schedules on a weekly basis as necessary to meet business needs and financial targets
  • Organize private events/large group dinners
  • Updating drink and food menus
  • Ensure guests satisfaction; interacting with guests and engaging in service recovery when issues arise
  • Ensure that all food and beverages are consistently prepared and served according to presentation standards
  • Ensure compliance with the department of health standards, maintaining superior cleanliness and sanitation throuhout the restaurant
  • Creating/adjusting floor plans for the daily service and perforoming the Maitre D. role in the weekdays
  • Facilitate staff meetings and trainings covering a variety of training and policy topics
  • Create a positive and fun work environment

Floor manager qualifications:
  • 1 year minimum management/supervisor experience in a NYC full service restaurant
  • Ability to multitask and work in fast paced environment
  • Proven leadership skills and must be able to manage, develop and motivate a highly performance staff
  • Proficiency with computers and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule
  • Must be able to lift/carry items up to 35 lbs and push/pull items up to 75lbs
  • Must be able to walk/stand  for extended periods of time with frequent bending, twisting, squatting and reaching overhead
  • Strong knowledge of Wine and Italian food, and being always willing to learn and improve

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $80,000.00)
