The AKM will work with our head kitchen manager, creating specials and running the kitchen for daily service. The goal of the assistant kitchen manager is to take ownership of the kitchen by maintaining the pub’s standards for food cost, presentation, portioning, and cleanliness, while constantly organizing, coaching, and coordinating the day and night kitchen staff. The AKM must communicate often and effectively with all team levels, from the GM to the new trainees. This position will consist of a mix of tipped line cooking shifts & management shifts.
Professional Qualifications and Requirements:
-2+ years of kitchen experience or a willingness to love and learn about food!
-Ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency.
-Direct and sensitive communication style.
-Willingness to step up and work through conflict for the mutual benefit of all involved
-Excellent organizational skills
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
