J-1 visa Employment Opportunity with World Famous Chef, Daniel Boulud's restaurant group: The Dinex Group LLC

Café Boulud Palm Beach is an upscale French fine dining restaurant located within the Brazilian Court Hotel. Since opening in 2003, the restaurant has become one of Florida's most coveted dining destinations, earning four stars in the Forbes Travel Guide and Wine Spectator’s “Best of Award of Excellence.”

Chef/Author/Mentor/Restauranteur, Daniel Boulud is searching for talented individuals to add a fresh international perspective to the culinary team. If you strive towards excellence and are dedicated to enhancing your skills and knowledge, we welcome you to apply!

Eligibility criteria for the J1 Internship/Traineeship program:

– Enrolled in a post-secondary education in the hospitality industry
OR
– Hospitality Degree with at least 1 year of relevant work experience (outside of the USA)
OR
– 5 years of relevant professional work experience (outside the USA)

Previous supervisory role and a culinary training degree preferred. Strong English, French and Spanish communications skills are a plus.

The ideal candidate must possess superb communication skills along with the ability to lead and provide structure in a team environment with a strong work ethic and adherence to food safety protocol. This position is full-time and hourly based. 

 
Competencies & Qualifications:

  • Ability to interact positively with supervisor, management, coworkers, members, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, accomplish tasks without direct instruction, and problem solve for the best solutions
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages
  • Actively practice food safety procedures
  • Able to train and motivate team
  • Organizational skills
  • Effective time management
  • Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner, which is accurate, complete, and of high quality
  • Establish client relationships and ensuring maximum satisfaction
