POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Bartender with a genuine passion for providing the highest level of hospitality and service to our guests. Our Bartenders work directly with customers and provide an exceptional beverage experience while creating a warm, welcoming environment. Candidates must have an extensive cocktail, wine, and beer knowledge, possess excellent customer service skills, and take pride in the workplace. This is a tipped position.
BARTENDER RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Have full knowledge of our restaurant’s food offerings and beverage program
- Build a rapport with customers, present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions
- Check customers’ identification to confirm legal drinking age
- Prepare quality alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
- Clear and reset tables in the bar area, maintain bottles and glasses to support efficient drink preparation
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar, assist in restocking the bar inventory and supplies
- Promptly report equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the Manager on duty
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure a smooth and an efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the Manager or immediate supervisor
- Excel in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Embody and deliver on exceptional service and hospitality
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of previous/relevant experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant
- Relevant certificates, licenses (Ex. Servsafe) or registrations including a valid Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness Training Certificate (Must have upon hire)
- Knowledge and compliance with food safety regulations and procedures, and health and sanitation guidelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Suites: Outlook, Word, Excel; Open Table and Restaurant POS System
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
- Positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Flexible schedule and be available to work daytime, evening and/or weekend shifts
