Major Food Group seeks an experienced and qualified Receiver to join our newest South Florida restaurant - Chateau, opening in Brickell soon!
This fine dining concept is hiring experienced hospitality professionals with a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect items received for consistency and quality, verify invoice against items ordered or received.
- Advise suppliers/vendors/purchasing of short shipments and goods not received in proper order and arrange for credit notes.
- Transport products to assigned storerooms and provide organized storage of all items for future use.
- Store all items received in appropriate storerooms; rotate stock using first in first out inventory method, and/or enforcing "empty for full" policy.
- Check date on perishable food items.
- Maintain cleanliness. Clean and organize all storage areas including the fridges, freezer and dry storage areas. Clear out all empty boxes and condense items to best utilize storage areas.
- May assist with other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least one year of experience in a stock and receiving position in the Food and Beverage environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 (sixty) lbs.
- Team-orientated and positive attitude
- Strong communication skills are a must.
