Le Pavillion, an elegant restaurant by Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud, is a Midtown Manhattan dining destination offering a seasonally inspired menu in a nature-oriented oasis, located in New York City’s newest icon, One Vanderbilt, overlooking Grand Central Station.

We are looking for an Assistant General Manager who has an exceptional knowledge of food & beverage, creativity and flair; knowledge of business financials, and an ability to recruit, train and inspire a growing team.

Management Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead by example, including involvement in regular service to our standards and supporting service where needed.
  • Conduct scheduled service training for hourly and management employees
  • Uphold the standards while leading purposeful steps of service
  • Support the beverage and wine department with inventory and program creation
  • Suggest and implement innovative guest experience opportunities
  • Provide feedback and coaching opportunities
  • Orchestrate service plan for private events and group dining
  • Opening and closing managerial responsibilities
  • Financial/cash handling
  • Operational administrative tasks
  • Facilities/Health Department checks
  • Floor management - engaging with guests, troubleshooting issues, managing flow of service and management of book and the host team, communicating with the kitchen and dining room team
  • Oversight of reservations and providing support to Maitre D and host team through each service.
  • Enforcing educational and disciplinary processes and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Support role in partnership with General Manager

Qualifications:

  • Prior lead/management experience
  • Knowledge of both food and beverage
  • Service focused, hospitality minded
  • Forbes Service Standards Training is a plus
  • Michelin Restaurant experience
  • Fine-dining or celebrity chef experience

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($85,000.00 - $90,000.00)
