Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our culinary team and contribute to the success of our establishment. As the Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, menu development, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, creativity, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Menu Development: Collaborate with the executive chef to create innovative and appealing menus that align with the restaurant's concept and vision.
  2. Kitchen Management: Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. Manage day-to-day activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  3. Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste. Conduct regular tastings and inspections to ensure consistency.
  4. Cost Control: Work closely with the executive chef to manage food costs, inventory, and wastage. Implement strategies to optimize kitchen efficiency without compromising quality.
  5. Training and Development: Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Ensure adherence to culinary standards and safety regulations.
  6. Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments, such as front-of-house staff, to ensure seamless service and a positive overall dining experience for guests.
  7. Innovation: Stay updated on culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients. Introduce new and exciting dishes to keep the menu fresh and enticing.
  8. Health and Safety: Enforce sanitation and hygiene standards in the kitchen. Ensure compliance with health department regulations and food safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a high-volume, upscale dining establishment.
  2. Culinary degree or equivalent qualification.
  3. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  4. Creative flair and a passion for culinary excellence.
  5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Knowledge of industry trends and a commitment to continuous learning.
  7. Familiarity with kitchen management software and systems.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($90,000.00 - $130,000.00)
