Job Details

We are looking for -- reliable and passionate Bussers, Runners, & Polishers with experience in high-volume restaurants. A background in upscale, Los Angeles restaurants is preferred.

What we need -- is someone who understands the responsibilities associated with working in a busy Los Angeles restaurant and who has the passion and drive to help us continue to be one of the hottest spots in LA!

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Promptly greet guests when they are seated and offer water.
  • Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for the next course.
  • Clear tables after guests. Take tableware to the dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc., in appropriate areas for washing.
  • Between seatings, promptly clean tabletops, chairs, and booths. Check the floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange the tabletop.
  • Stock and maintain service stations with appropriate items to clean and reset tables.
  • Upkeep of the dining room, floors, shelves, tables, chairs, booths, windows, etc.
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to the server as needed.
  • Communicate with server and hostess to ensure efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service.
  • Assist servers as needed, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
  • Final breakdown of the dining room and patio at the end of service.

Expectations:

  • Work schedule may vary between early afternoon to late evening, as well as, weekends and holidays
  • Shifts will range from 4 – 8 hours, and you may occasionally be asked to work overtime.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and keep up with the needs of the guests.
  • Work inside as well as outside dining areas.
  • Always act in a professional manner that represents the restaurant, owners, partners, and staff.
  • Be respectful to all guests who have chosen to dine in our restaurants.
  • Demonstrate teamwork.
  • Work with a positive attitude.
  • Follow safety and sanitation rules and laws.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings.
  • Always act in the best interest of the restaurant, fellow employees, and guests.
  • Welcome and accept feedback and coaching from the management team in order to maintain and grow as an employee

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service and/or restaurant experience preferred.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Have a working knowledge of the food menu.
  • CA Food Handler certificate is required.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours) and work in multiple-level buildings.
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver items that may weigh up to 25 pounds.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($16.90) plus tips

It reunites Chef John Sedlar, Bill Chait, and Jordan Ogron from the acclaimed restaurant Rivera; Now adding French Chef Raphael Francois from Tesse. Coming back together to explore the new California kitchen, which is a more global landscape today. The return of Chef John Sedlar to Los Angeles is highly anticipated, as he has led Los Angeles in becoming a food destination; opening many important restaurants: Saint Estephe, Bikini, Abiquiu, Rivera, and Playa.
