POSITION SUMMARY: The Server Assistant / Busser will support servers and attend to guests of the restaurant, ensuring the quality of food, beverage, and service. Responsibilities include clearing dishware, setting up tables, and ensuring smooth service operations. Candidates should possess strong organization skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):

• Assist servers by clearing tables, setting tables, refilling beverages and dishware, and attending to guest requests.
• Provide attentive and quality service to all guests during their dining experience.
• Ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace throughout the shift.
• Participate actively during pre-shift meetings and restaurant service training.
• Communicate effectively with staff members, management, and the kitchen during service.
• Provide courteous and efficient service, responding promptly to customer concerns and complaints.
• Complete assigned side work according to schedule.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout the restaurant.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Department of Health (DOH) standards.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in upscale casual dining.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Regular movement within the work area, including bending, lifting, carrying, and climbing steps.

COMPENSATION: The base pay range for this position is paid a minimum wage + tips.
