Job Details
The Chef team is seeking MORNING PREP COOKS to join them at Joe's Pub and The Library, Chef Andrew Carmellini's American restaurant and cabaret space.

The Library at The Public Theater, the lounge located on the Public Theater's mezzanine level is home to Chef Andrew Carmellini's American menu, shared by Joe's Pub, features a mix of classics and signatures, shareable appetizers, bar snacks, dinner plates and desserts. Joe’s Pub at The Public is one of New York City’s most celebrated venues for emerging and established performance artists.

Ideal candidates possess:
* Complete shift work, as assigned, timely and thoroughly.
* Comfortable with preparing large quantities.
* Have excellent knife skills.
* Have knowledge of cooking procedures, safety and sanitation.
* Have experience on multiple stations in the kitchen.
* Ensure quality and accuracy of products and dishes.
* Support their fellow cooks.
* Are able to lift 25 lbs or more
* Punctual and respectful

Named for Public Theater founder Joe Papp, Joe’s Pub debuted in 1998 and plays a vital role in The Public’s mission of supporting young artists while providing established artists with an intimate space to perform and develop new work.
