About the Opportunity:
Casa Teresa is an exciting new Spanish Restaurant led by Chef Ruben Garcia, where open-fire cooking and locally-sourced seasonal ingredients take center stage. Nestled within DC's newest culinary hotspot, The Square, Casa Teresa is part of a collective of talented culinary experts and artisans curated by Unfold Hospitality. Our team comprises seasoned food industry professionals with roots in renowned establishments like ThinkFoodGroup, Union Market, and La Cosecha.
Chef Ruben Garcia's culinary journey began in the Michelin-starred kitchens of Jean Luc Figueras and Martin Berasetegui, followed by five transformative years at El Bulli with Ferran Adria, where he honed his expertise in innovative techniques, imaginative presentation, and premium ingredients. As the creative director of minibar, he continued to push the boundaries of avant-garde cuisine, collaborating closely with Chef Jose Andres.
Inspired by the culinary traditions of his abuela Teresa, Ruben founded Casa Teresa as a tribute to the home cooks who shaped Spanish cuisine.
