Assistant General Manager
Established farm winery in Montgomery County, Maryland located just 30 minutes from Washington DC seeks an assistant general manager (AGM) to assist in the development and execution of our on-site wine and food service to customers.
Windridge produces wines from over 30 acres of estate grown grapevines and sells to customers at our tasting room located on a farm overlooking the vineyards with panoramic views stretching to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Additionally, we are building out a food program to broaden our customer experience and enhance the Windridge brand. Our combination of excellent wine and food, a beautiful facility, and dedicated staff, combine to enable us to deliver a customer experience that is best in class.
Windridge offers a dynamic, team focused, work environment in a growing and profitable business. Partnering with the general manager, The AGM will oversee all aspects of our guest service plan. This includes coordinating daily operations and staffing, managing front of the house operations to deliver outstanding experiences to all guests, and developing and supporting our retail staff.
This is a full-time position, and it is expected that the AGM will work primarily on weekends and evenings when customer demand is greatest. Competitive compensation based on qualifications.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of upscale restaurant or similar hospitality experience.
- Experience in building and managing staffing plans and implementing growth and development platforms for staff members.
- Ability to lead and develop a retail team with a positive and energetic approach.
- Ability to plan ahead, manage, and prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to maintain a professional manner during high demand situations and customer conflicts.
- Familiarity with Point of Sales systems including analytics and reporting. Hands-on experience with the Toast POS platform is a plus.
- Strong communications skills including command of the English language
- 21 years of age
