ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for Restaurant Managers to join the team! As the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee and manage the daily operations of a restaurant/lounge. You will ensure the restaurant’s success by hiring qualified staff, monitoring customer satisfaction, and making sure that all products and beverages are ordered in the correct quantities. The restaurant manager plays a key role in the success of the restaurant/lounge and provides leadership. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Lead the front-of-house, including managing, scheduling work shifts, and ensuring guest satisfaction and assisting in smooth operation of Restaurant/Lounge.
- Scheduling shifts, and providing training and coaching opportunities for staff.
- Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and late hours when necessary.
Specific Requirements of the Role:
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
- Manage inventory and purchases food and supplies.
- Conduct daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain sales records and prepare operations reports.
- Hire and train staff members.
- Organize employee schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience required; hotel food and beverage preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills; able to delegate tasks and communicate respectfully and effectively.
- Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
