Job Title: General Manager - Cafe/Bakery Concept

Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our cafe and bakery concept. As the key leader of our establishment, the General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, driving business growth, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality management, a passion for quality food and beverages, and the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operations Management:

    • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the cafe and bakery, including food preparation, service, inventory management, and cleanliness.
    • Develop and implement operational procedures to maximize efficiency and streamline workflows.
    • Monitor and maintain quality standards for food, beverages, and customer service.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation practices.
  2. Financial Performance:

    • Develop and manage the annual budget, including sales projections, expenses, and profitability targets.
    • Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Implement strategies to drive revenue growth, increase average check size, and maximize profitability.
    • Control costs through effective inventory management, labor scheduling, and waste reduction initiatives.
  3. Staff Leadership and Development:

    • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a high-performing team of cafe and bakery staff.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to foster a culture of excellence.
    • Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage while controlling labor costs.
    • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement.
  4. Customer Experience:

    • Ensure that every guest receives exceptional service and has a memorable dining experience.
    • Monitor guest feedback and reviews and take proactive steps to address any concerns or issues.
    • Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and customer preferences to continuously improve offerings and service.
  5. Marketing and Promotions:

    • Develop and execute marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to attract new customers and drive repeat business.
    • Utilize social media, email marketing, and other channels to engage with customers and promote special events, seasonal offerings, and menu updates.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content and imagery that showcases the cafe and bakery concept.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in restaurant or cafe management, with a focus on food and beverage operations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control principles.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and health department requirements.
  • Proficiency in restaurant POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($75,000.00 - $85,000.00)
