We aim to open in Spring of 2024, however we are looking to hire the leadership team ASAP

About This Role
The General Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the restaurant. They direct and coach the salaried management team in the operation ensuring the team member experience, guest experience and financial health of the business are in line with the standards, vision, and goals of Sunday Hospitality. The General Manager actively leads by example, inspires, and teaches skills that will elevate the guest experience, their teams, their restaurant, and ultimately Sunday Hospitality as a company.
Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Works with the Director of Operations and ownership to develop and execute strategies to achieve operational goals at the restaurant level
- Implements, monitors, and fine tunes clear strategic initiatives
- Is a leader for the entire team and unites both FOH and BOH towards a common goal of continually raising the bar
- Conducts weekly manager meetings and creates the weekly pre shift template
- Ensures the restaurant team delivers on SHG service standards; touches tables at every service to cultivate regulars
- Ensures consistent execution of food, beverage, service, and hospitality that aligns with SHG values
- Proactively manages prime costs, with an eye on the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual projections and budgets
- Submits weekly schedules that deliver a great service experience while remaining fiscally responsible to budgeted targets
- Forecasts and monitors weekly sales and labor numbers and adjusts in the moment to ensure hospitality and financial targets are achieved
- Creates a talent pipeline of lead FOH and BOH team members
- Interviews and approves the hiring of all hourly team members
- Ensures that operational and training standards are consistently followed and executed by the entire restaurant team
What You Bring
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a senior management position overseeing a full-service high volume restaurant
- A passion for excellence in hospitality
- Proven track record of overseeing high revenue streams
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- NYC Food Protection Certificate (Food Handler’s) required
- Proficiency in a variety of technology systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Payroll, POS, and COGS Systems
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and digitally
- Excellent strategic planning skills with an emphasis on delivering, executing, and assessing action plans
- Ability to effectively solve and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and proactive attitude
- A solid track record of leading high-caliber service
- Flexible work schedules: the ability to work night, weekends, holidays, as business permits
- The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50lbs
- Kneel, bend, or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; be on feet for extended periods of time
