Originally the Jarmulowsky Bank Building, Nine Orchard Hotel has been restored to its original glory, showcasing original clocks and a 60-foot domed rooftop tempietto.  The neighborhood landmark’s outstanding character and design details our boutique hotel in an up and coming destination neighborhood. 

We are seeking a Full Time Hotel Liasion to support Reservations, Sales, and Guest Services. Nine Orchard
 offers a unique level of service to its guests.  Ideal candidates have extensive experience in guest service in Hospitality or a similar environment.  

Ideal candidates possess:

*A minimum of 2 years of experience in Hospitality/ Retail/ Guest Service Environment

*Warm and gracious service approach, and the ability to create stellar guest experiences

*The ability to lift 50 + pounds

*Comfortable speaking in front of a large group

*Availalbe to work a full time schedule and career driven

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer, record, log, and process all incoming guest calls, requests, questions, and concerns. 
  • Input guest requests into the operating system to assign to the appropriate department (Housekeeping, Front Desk, Engineering, Room Service).
  •  Process guest requests for wake-up calls, screen calls, do not disturb, call forwarding, conference calls, TDD relay calls, and non-registered guest calls. 
  •  Advise guests of any messages received. Monitor busy or unanswered lines, Instruct guests on how to access the internet; transfer guests with problems to the provider's customer support line. 
  • Contact the appropriate individual or department as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems. 
  • Follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met to their satisfaction. 
  • Communicate with room service, managers, F&B reservations. 
  • Answer phone calls consistently, delegate calls throughout the building.
  • Liaison will make reservations via phone and email. Including understanding how to quote hotel rates, describe rooms, be able to discuss amenities, offer upgrades etc. as directed by the sales team. 
  • Must be proficient in Nine Orchard specific verbiage, and take the time to answer detailed questions that guests may have. 
  • Connect VIP’s/travel agents/groups more efficiently to the sales team: take messages, in addition to forwarding calls, and emails. 
  • Distribution of essential Reports upon request; Arrival reports, VIP reports, Staffing and Scheduling Reports
  • Distribution of Reservation and Cancellation confirmations. 
  • Address or Direct press related inquiries with press ready packets or as instructed by Press.
  • Address or Direct group sale related inquiries with sales ready packets or as instructed by the Sales team.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00)

With the help of historians and artisans, a team of world-class architects meticulously restored the iconic, century-old Jarmulowsky Bank to its former Neo-Renaissance splendor. Requiring 1912 blueprint drawings and archival photographs, the Swan Room features grand, arched windows and a rehabilitated ornamental ceiling; pink Tennessee marble floors and Botticino marble walls, meanwhile, recall those found in Grand Central.

From the painstakingly replicated original clocks and 60-foot domed rooftop tempietto to the historically-accurate millwork and the cornice moldings found throughout Nine Orchard’s 12 floors, the neighborhood landmark’s outstanding character and design details can now, once again, be appreciated and admired by visitors.
