Aster Hall is looking for a dedicated and experienced Full Time General Manager (Salary Based on Experience + Bonus Structure) to join our team!

Experience and Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in full service restaurants, including 3+ years as a General Manager or other senior-level manager.
  • In-depth P&L experience and exceptional financial understanding, including proven strategies to positively affect a restaurant’s financial health.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to ongoing changes.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop employees, both hourly and salaried.
  • Ability to identify problems and be solution-oriented
  • Proven experience with building high-performing teams.
  • Professional and confident verbal and written communication with guests, employees and ownership.
  • Quality critical thinking skills and the ability to teach these to others
  • Must have open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain and progress all areas of service in your store. 
  • Maintain relationships with regular guests and assist with their needs. 
  • Manage up to 5 services a week, staying flexible based on business demands; could close up to 5 days a week. 
  • Monitor review sites (YELP, RESY, Trip Advisor, etc.) and work with the Guest Services Team on responses to guests as applicable.  
  • Be fully trained on scheduling and able to assist with troubleshooting including reviewing all schedules before being posted; all schedules to be posted two weeks in advance. 
  • Ensure all onboarding steps are properly completed for all new hires. 
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed, such as hiring, progressive discipline and wage increases. 
  • Evaluate and process all refunds. 
  • Ensure all training information and materials are up to date. 
  • Lead monthly financial calls for store and present solutions and understanding of P&L.
  • Participate and support catering, events, and/or buyouts. 
  • Participate in employee 6-month reviews. 
  • Possess the ability to fill into any FOH hourly position. 
  • Responsible for all FOH equipment maintenance.
  • Responsible for ordering all restaurant supplies and adhering to the budget based on percentage of sales. 
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and maintaining all FOH staff. 
  • Review store financials daily to manage comps, expenses, labor and overall revenue.
  • Schedule and coordinate continuing education classes for staff development.
  • Schedule subject to modification or approval by the Service Director or Chief Operations Officer. 
  • Successful execution of store beverage program. 
  • Train and mentor Lead Employees and all FOH staff. 
  • Work closely with the Purchasing department on retail goods; look to replace products that are not moving, inventory and submitting new products that have market appeal. 
  • Work with BOH and other management to run an efficient cohesive store.
  • Work with the Marketing department on suggesting products to move and/or new menu items.
