Café G at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is now seeking a part-time Server.  This position offers daytime hours (10:15am to 5:15pm), a beautiful work environment and a respectful, professional work culture.  

Total tip and wage compensation is consistently $25 to $40/hr ($10/hr + tips).  All front of house staff are compensated equally in a pooled tip system.  Café G is open Wednesday through Monday, closed on Tuesdays.  At the moment, we have 2-3 shifts available per week, with additional shifts available as we enter Spring.  Monday availability is required. 

Competitive candidates possess a genuine enthusiasm for assisting and serving guests, professional appearance, impeccable reliability and strong work ethic.  Cafe G is a very fast paced, consistently busy and efficient restaurant.  Because of this, some previous restaurant work experience is required.  

Uniforms and aprons are provided, as well as one complimentary meal of your choice per shift.  Many of the folks on our team have been at the Café for three years or more, and are a friendly, hardworking crew.  Our system encourages all staff to be problem solvers, and to contribute solutions and creativity to our day to day operations.  We find it crucial that all members of the team are capable of executing all roles, from hosting and managing a wait list, to preparing drinks, to taking orders and making menu recommendations.  This allows for greater scheduling flexibility, and a greater awareness of the restaurant as a whole.
