Apply to join the Thattu culinary team! Thattu is an Indian comfort food concept featuring cuisine from the southwestern coastal state of Kerala. Thattu started off as a pop-up in 2018 in Bridgeport by Chef Margaret Pak. In the second iteration in 2019, Co-Owners Margaret and Vinod created Thattu - a counter service food stall located in the West Loop. In less than a year as a food stall, Thattu gained local and national recognition as 2020 Food & Wine Magazine Best New Restaurant and 2020 James Beard Awards Semi-Finalist Best New Restaurant.
Now we are excited! and ready for our brick-and-mortar location in the up and coming Avondale neighborhood. We opened at the end of April and about 5 months later, The New York Times Restaurant List included Thattu in the 50 places in the US that they're most excited about right now!
We are currently seeking part time prep cooks who are passionate, creative and care deeply about the food they create.
