Hōm boutique events is a new and growing catering company. We cater private events of various sizes and also operate an upscale school lunch program under our hōmskool division. Currently serving lunch at several prestigious private schools across Los Angeles.

Hōmskool offers chef driven scratch made meals, featuring seasonal menu items, innovative dishes and a wide variety of ingredients and preparations.

We are a fast-paced company with opportunities for growth, looking for experienced line cooks to join our team, a unique and small business run by industry professionals looking to make a difference in how people eat and how staff is rewarded! We will offer competitive hourly rates, tips during private events and one week paid vacation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Complete all tasks as handed down by the kitchen manager and supervisors.

Keep the kitchen area, service area, and storage area clean and organized.

Requirements:

Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, catering or prep cook.

Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.

Familiar with industry’s best practices

Culinary school diploma a plus
Bakery experience a plus

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in small space, fast paced environment.

Ability to stand for long period of time.

Flexibility for day or evening, some holidays and weekend shifts. MOST operations will occur Monday- Friday on a morning to mid afternoon shift.

Serve Safe (or ability to obtain certification).
