JOB OVERVIEW:

Prepare and serve guest a variety of beverages and food. Every bartender must possess the highest level of integrity, and follow all cash handling procedure. The Bartender is the first impression of the restaurant and must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the restaurant. The bartender must always promote responsible drinking

REPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager

DEPARTMENT: Restaurant   

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all policies/ procedures/standards.
2. Arrive to work on time, as scheduled, with all necessary equipment, supplies and properly attired (or Uniformed) to begin work according to company standards
3. Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and delegate responsibility to the staff which ensures the goals and objectives, of the restaurant, are met on a daily basis by the staff.
4. Acknowledge the guest immediately…no matter how busy you are
5. Greet and serve all bar guests warmly
6. Know our specialty drinks and recipes
7. Know all bar policies and procedures
8. Follow all bar policies and procedures
9. Smile and make eye contact with all guests
10. Restock the bar
11. Assist with monthly beverage inventory
12. Knowledge of menu and food descriptions
13. Attends all pre-shift meetings
14. Communicate to captains 86 items
15. Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
16. Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
17. Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgments
18. Maintain knowledge of:
19. food descriptions
20. Wine descriptions
21. table numbers
22. position numbers
23. product specifications
24. Health codes
25. Safety procedures
26. Sanitation codes
27. Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Essential:

1. English Speaking
2. Professional appearance and attitude
3. 2 years experience in a high end restaurant
4. Satisfactorily communicate, management and co-workers

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

 Essential:

1. Must be able to stay on feet for up to 8 hours throughout work shift.
2. Must be able to bend and stoop to the floor
