Bistro Romano, a popular upscale Italian restaurant, known for its food, service and award-winning wine list, and 37 years as a neighborhood mainstay in Society Hill, Phila, is seeking an Executive Chef who will have full control of the culinary operation. Outstanding compensation package, 5-day work week, two consecutive days off, paid vacation, paid parking.

Culinary Program & Fundamentals:
- Innovative Italian cuisine; exceptional taste & plating for guest presentation & social media
- A la carte dining, delivery services to go & Bistro To Go pickup, private parties, chef dinners, wine tastings
- Focus on the exceeding guest expectations
- Menu creation, updating with a focus on industry trends; weekly chef additions
- Prepare menu guides, staff training tests
- Exceptional knowledge of food prep for dietary restrictions and food allergies
- Attention to food & labor costs
- Solidify working relationship with FOH to ensure common goals are exceeded
- Sustain current high levels of sanitation, safety & food storage in compliance with City of Philadelphia Office of Food Protection
- Improve & expand current level of output while maintaining quality
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to multitask; hands on working chef
- Hiring, training, and innovating BOH team; lead with mutual respect, motivate & reward
Foundations
- 5 years minimum experience leading culinary program
- Italian and Mediterranean experience; Pasta making experience; Scratch kitchen
- Culinary degree preferred; current ServSafe MGR certificate
