The restaurant is located in the storied La Palma building, a historic structure that dates to 1924. Originally designed by architect H. George Fink, it is composed in the Small Mediterranean Style, an aesthetic that originated in Coral Gables and which Mr. Fink is credited for naming. It was formerly home to the Cla-Reina Hotel – one of the longest standing hotels in the area – before becoming the mixed-use space it is today, which is also appointed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Bouchon Coral Gables is able to seat approximately 160 guests, including forty in a central outdoor courtyard, and thirty in a private dining room. As with the Yountville location, Bouchon showcases authentic, seasonally driven French bistro fare and is set against interiors created by renowned designer Adam D. Tihany. The building is located at the intersection of Alhambra Circle and Galiano Street in Coral Gables.
