Position Overview:
We are seeking a General Manager who is passionate about all things culinary to oversee the daily operations of our first NYC location on the UWS. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to upholding our commitment to excellence in food quality and customer service while leading our like-minded team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and budgeting.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service expectations are consistently exceeded.
- Recruit, train, and lead team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Utilize daily, weekly, quarterly reporting tools to drive revenue growth and achieve financial targets.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with all health and sanitation regulations.
- Foster a positive work environment that creates a committed team, workplace professionalism, and prepares staff for growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- 5+ years prior experience as a General Manager in an up-scale, full-concept restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- NYC Hospitality experience a plus
- Proven track record in financial management, including budgeting, cost control and revenue optimization.
- Demonstrated passion for food and beverage, with a strong understanding of culinary trends and best practices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members and vendors.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as is standard in the hospitality industry.
- New York City food handler’s certification
