Job Title: Host/Hostess

Job Summary: Blossom and Bourbon, a renowned dining destination in the heart of Blossom Valley, is in search of a poised and friendly Host/Hostess to welcome guests to our establishment. As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and inviting atmosphere for our patrons. Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Welcome: Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

  2. Reservation Management: Effectively manage reservations, seating arrangements, and waitlists to optimize table turnover and ensure a smooth dining experience.

  3. Communication: Clearly communicate with guests regarding wait times, special requests, and any relevant information to enhance their overall experience.

  4. Menu Familiarity: Have a basic understanding of the menu and daily specials to assist guests with inquiries and provide recommendations.

  5. Seating Coordination: Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to manage the flow of guests, ensuring timely seating and a balanced workload for the dining area.

  6. Problem Resolution: Address guest concerns and issues promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from management when needed.

  7. Phone Etiquette: Answer incoming calls in a courteous and helpful manner, assisting with reservations and providing relevant information.

  8. Cleanliness: Maintain a tidy and organized host/hostess station, contributing to the overall cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the front-of-house area.

  9. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests.

Qualifications:

  1. Hospitality Skills: Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred, but we welcome candidates with a genuine enthusiasm for providing excellent service.

  2. Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact courteously with guests and team members.

  3. Organization: Effective organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently.
