Job Details

HOST ROLE DESCRIPTION 

The Dead Rabbit is looking for a Host to join our growing team at The Dead Rabbit NYC during our holiday pop up, Jingle Jangle.  The pop up will run from November 14th through January 1st with training beginning the first week of November.  While the position is seasonal, there will be limited opportunities to remain on the team year round. Hosts are the first to deliver our ‘Welcome Home’ hospitality philosophy and are the point of contact for every customer entering the bar, managing their experiences and expectations from start to finish. Hosts at The Dead Rabbit must embody our core values of being brilliant, evolving, service-oriented, and transparent, enabling our company to deliver world-class experiences. A successful candidate must exude these characteristics and competencies consistently. 


HOST ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Embody our core values.
  • Welcome our customers with our unique ‘Welcome Home’ hospitality philosophy. 
  • Excellently and consistently execute our core customer experience pillars, our FACTS, which encompasses fantastic food, authentic Irish hospitality, quality cocktails, elite-level serves of our Trifecta (Guinness, Irish Whiskey Coffee, and Irish Whiskey), and speed. 
  • Follow standard operating procedures for opening and closing and daily versus weekly cleaning tasks. 
  • Consistently follow hosting etiquette and technical aspects of the role. 
  • Adherence to The Dead Rabbit’s team member handbook.
  • Perform related duties as requested by leadership teams.
  • Be a team player working with other team members when needed or required.
  • Be an effective communicator post, during, and pre-shift, alerting team members to operational issues or concerns.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS  

  • Candidates must have a hospitality orientation and experience in customer-facing roles. 
  • Candidates must be hungry to learn and grow. 
  • Candidates must be ambitious, disciplined, and enthusiastic
  • Candidates must be passionate and knowledgeable about food, wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails.
  • Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidates must have the requisite schedule availability.
  • Candidates must be able to take constructive feedback and work within an engaged, collaborative, and accountable culture and team environment.
  • Candidates must be able to stand for long periods.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($20.00) plus tips
