Job Details

Redbird in downtown Los Angeles is looking for a Sommelier to work alongside our incoming Wine Director Chris Dugan. This is an opportunity to work with an extensive wine list of classic and ascending producers with over 1,000 selections, with abundant tasting and educational opportunities. Our list features heavily in France, Italy, Germany, with an emphasis on vintage depth and small production growers. 

Qualified candidates demonstrate these traits: 

  • Introductory Sommelier Certification or equivalent knowledge required; CMS Certified level or higher, preferred.
  • Great attitude.
  • Passion for creating a unique experience to every guest, through food, wine, and beverages.
  • Extensive knowledge of the global wine community, with a focus on classic wines from classic producers.
  • Highly organized, and an extremely high level of attention to detail.
  • Both self-motivated, and excellent at time management.
  • An ability to communicate clearly with guests, to listen to guests needs, and over deliver in their expectations. 
  • A desire to share your knowledge and excitement with both guests and staff.
  • Able to lift over 50 pounds

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $22.00) plus tips
