Job Details

The Yokai mission is to provide San Francisco with a delicious upscale, dining experience serving a menu comprised of California and Japanese ingredients, wagyu and other meats in a beautifully designed and dynamic space. The beverage program focuses on an eclectic wine list, Japanese spirits, sake and cocktails made with care and craft.


  • Opening and closing side work as directed by management
  • Answering guest questions about food and beverage
  • Curating and guiding the guest experience
  • Delivering food to guests and identifying its various components
  • Setting, clearing, remarking tables before, during and after service
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant
  • Other duties as required or directed by management


  • Previous service experience required
  • Must understand the fundamentals of hospitality


  • Ability to take direction and also work independently
  • Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Must have good judgment, versatility, flexibility
  • Motivated and good team player who takes initiative
  • Must have a courteous, friendly and professional manner


  • Standing/walking approximately 90% of shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift and grasp to perform routine tasks for up to 6 hours at a time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently


  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($18.07) plus tips
