FARMSHOP opened our first restaurant and market location in 2013 in The Brentwood Country Mart followed by the Marin restaurant several years later. The core of our philosophy is exceptional food, exceptional experiences, and artisanal products. We pay attention to the details.

 

In 2019 FARMSHOP expanded the wholesale business by opening a bakery manufacturing commissary in Culver City. In 2023 FARMSHOP Bakery was established at the Row in Downtown LA. The bakery is where we blend modern machinery with ancient grains, creating a harmonious fusion of timeless tradition and contemporary precision. Our commitment is to offer meticulously crafted baked goods using the finest ingredients, ensuring every bite is an extraordinary experience.

Position Overview:

Reports to: Chef de Cuisine

Salary Range: depending on experience.

 

The Line Cook is responsible for assisting the Chef de Cuisine to prepare and service food in the kitchen at Blue Hill at Stone Barns.

Requirements:

  • Strong work ethics, creative, Hospitality centric individual
  • Strong kitchen skills. Able to quickly articulate and pick up kitchen lead guidance.
  • High school diploma and/or one year of restaurant experience preferred.
  • Experience in food preparation, including the use of kitchen equipment and of cooking procedures and methods.
  • Able to multitask in discrete time periods and to maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Works well in a team
  • Attention to cleanliness and health and safety protocols, including knowledge of applicable fire, health, and
  • safety codes, rules, and regulations and enhanced COVID-19 protocols (a Food Handlers Certificate or SERV Safe Certification is a plus)
  • Positive, upbeat and team centered mentality
  • Must be able to commute to our Restaurant in Santa Monica Brentwood Country Mart
