Creative Food Group is the leading hospitality team behind the award-winning restaurants by Nicholas Stefanelli. Established in 2014 by Chef Nicholas Stefanelli & Paul Jeon, Creative Food Group takes our guests through culinary experiences from the fine dining critically acclaimed Masseria to culinary collective Officina, and now to the new luxury hotel The Morrow in Washington's vibrant Union Market neighborhood, a part of the DC Curio Collection by Hilton.

Chef Nicholas Stefanelli & Creative Food Group have now opened their new Greek concept at Midtown Center, Philotimo. Philotimo is Chef Stefanelli's vision to tell the story of Greeces gastronomic history and culture through the lens of food and wine.

In terms of both cuisine and service, our standards are high – and so are those of our guests. 

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has experience in hospitality and has a great understanding of restaurant operations and service. If you are someone who thrives in a customer-oriented environment in providing the best possible service, this position is for you. You will be working closely with the general manager, culinary team, and other management positions.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience upscale or fine dining environment
  • High school diploma or associates/bachelors degree in hospitality is preferred
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team management abilities 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bilingual 
  • Valid ServSafe and/or ABRA/TIPS
  • Familiarity with management software like Harri, Toast, Resy/Tock, POS systems, TripleSeat, Restaurant 36, OpenTable

  • Facilitate good communication with guests and all other necessary parties 
  • Learn and develop customer service skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain service standards and training program to achieve a standard for guest service 
  • Conduct staff training and development on a regular basis
  • Develop a foundation for regular clientele and engage in community outreach 
  • Conduct HR functions like interviewing, hiring, terminations
  • Make scheduling decisions, payroll
  • Facilitate thorough training procedures with all and every new hire to ensure brand standards
  • Greeting and checking in on guests regularly to get feedback 
  • Ensure and maintain communication with all necessary departments as needed 
  • Maintain good relationships with guests and regular guests in order to build a guest relations rapport 
  • Check and ensure all reservations/events are in order in the system
  • Update and maintain BEO’s for private events/banquets
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints in a timely and professional manner 
  • Cultivate an inclusive and respectful work environment for staff and guests 
  • Ensure proper policies and protocols during and after operations
  • Ensure safety and sanitation standards 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time 
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. 
  • All employees are to maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance (specifics will be provided)
