A qualified Sous Chef candidate will be a passionate industry leader & role model who is charismatic, self-motivated and thrives in a dynamically evolving environment. He/She must possess a high level of culinary mastery, a mentality of guardianship of all product in the Back of House, excellent communication & organizational skills, ability to multi-task & delegate effectively, drive financial results and possess a proven track record of mentoring crew & peers alike.
A qualified Sous Chef candidate must possess 1 year of experience in a Senior Sous Chef role in a chef driven/fine dining restaurant. The right candidate has high level experience leading their team through their team of Sous Chefs, demands excellence through high-detail coaching, is unrelenting in the maintaining the quality and standards of the kitchen, understands and can trouble shoot product cost challenges, adept at menu development and engineering, is relentless in mentoring his/her team of Chefs, and is obsessed with the tiniest details of anything that can elevate a dining experience for a Guest. This position must meet and exceed the expectations of a Michelin Starred Chef and be undeterred to practice and sharpen their craft.
This position requires a high level of attention to detail in order to succeed in an environment of extremely high standards - always with humility, respect and integrity. Candidates will be involved in all aspects of operations, mentorship of team members, service execution and even Guest interaction. There are opportunities for future advancement.
