We are currently seeking a Full-Time Restaurant and Beverage Manager for abc Cocina.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Restaurant and Beverage Manager candidate will possess "hands-on" fine dining service skills, attention to detail, commitment to hospitality, positive team-player attitude, and the proven ability to be a leader. The Restaurant & Beverage Manager is responsible for working alongside their co-managers to run a successful restaurant, where the commitment to exceptional hospitality, food and beverage is aligned with a positive, productive and profitable working environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend and contribute to the weekly/monthly Food and Beverage departmental meetings.
- Oversee and assist in service in accordance with the requirements and practices of the restaurant.
- Responsible for taking the lead in growing wine/beverage sales in the restaurant.
- Maintain awareness to customer focus and attention to detail.
- Work the floor during service with an emphasis on beverage sales. Up-sell at all possible opportunities.
- Train staff on quality level of service regarding body language, eye contact and proper verbiage and seek to positively enhance the guest experience throughout service.
- Maintain front-of-house staff schedule and assign duties.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all wine, spirits, coffees, teas, etc.
- Prepare for and perform weekly inventory of all beverage department products, as required.
- Responsible for ordering all bar products-liquor, beer, wine and consumables to par, as required.
- Research and conduct comprehensive beverage trainings for FOH staff.
- Oversee maintenance/cleanliness of all decanters, wine stations and all storage areas pertaining to beverage.
- Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
- Ensure that company policies and procedures, safety and other laws, regulations, and requirements are implemented and followed.
- Operate ethically to protect the image of the company.
- Open & close the restaurant as needed.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Minimum of three (3) years restaurant management experience in high-volume setting.
- Advanced knowledge of food & beverage
- Knowledge of Avero, Compeat (or other restaurant management accounting inventory software), Resy, Salido, ScheduleFly and multi-line phone systems
- FULL AVAILABILITY - daytime hours, evening hours and weekends.
- Must be friendly, engaging, gracious and have the ability to focus and connect with all guests at all levels, as well as with employees, and exceed their expectations.
- Strong attention to detail.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for the entire workday.
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the store. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
- Climbing steps regularly.
COMPENSATION:
The base pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
