Position Responsibilites:

• Welcoming and greeting guests; ensuring a seamless flow through the restaurant and to arranged dining tables.
• Checking-in, storing, securing, and retrieving outerwear and assorted personal belongings for guests.
• Speaking clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and responding well to questions
• Upholding service standards to ensure a memorable guest experience.
• Demonstrating a passion for details and a willingness to learn
• Maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment

General Requirements: 

• Organized and high functioning when under pressure 
• Creative and ambitious team player
• Genuine, positive and engaging personality while demonstrating a passion for detail and a willingness to learn.
• Sensitive and inclusive of all cultural and gender nuances 
• Background in handling confidential materials with full discretion
• General understanding of communication systems including but not limited to handheld and desktop devices.
• Proficient when working with Apple products including but not limited to MacBook and iPad.
• Experience with Nexudus, SevenRooms, Microsoft Office and Kustomer software is preferred.

Required Experience & Qualifications:  

• Being Personable, positive, and gracious
• At least 1 year in a Host position in an upscale dining or hotel reception setting
• Knowledge of reservation systems
• Has a sincere interest in the hospitality industry.
• Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in a team environment and welcome feedback and direction.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Ability to reach, bend, climb up and down stairs, walk, carry multiple objects.

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. 
• Must be able to handle items that weigh up to 50 lbs.
