MOVIDA is a unique concept and cuisine - a Persian and Mexican Fusion restaurant in the heart of SoMa– just blocks away from Oracle Park– that creates a fun, trendy environment for individuals to enjoy fusion bites and craft cocktails.
MOVIDA is looking for a strong general manager with an ownership mentality that has worked in high-end restaurant/lounges and wants to be in charge of a very chic brand! This individual will become a part-owner of the restaurant with substantial equity.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Our greatest asset and the largest contributing factor to our success is our team. It is our responsibility to provide the opportunity for each employee to pursue professional progress and satisfaction in their work. As General Manager, you are essential to the success of the company!
The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader with a passion for providing exceptional service, a keen eye for detail, and a talent for developing others. At least two (2) years of restaurant management experience with a background in fine dining and high-volume environments is required
Here at Movida we are looking for a General Manager with the following qualifications:
*A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively leading a staff of 20+ employees
*A genuine passion for providing the highest level of hospitality to all guests
*Prior restaurant experience in a manager or supervisor role
*Proven ability to effectively train, manage and supervise staff
*Excellent delegator and mediator, organized and goal oriented
*Maintain a professional appearance and the ability to adhere to Movida standards
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
*The availability to work 10 – 12 hours per day, including late nights, weekends, and holidays
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
*Manage all outlet operations to include, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, marketing initiatives, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation
*Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
*Effectively manage staff and oversee the overall flow of the workplace
*Provide supportive leadership, motivation and cultivate a positive work environment
*Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency, coordinate meetings and conduct employee performance reviews
*Assist in supervising employees during day-to-day tasks
*Proficient with computers (Microsoft Products), POS and technology
*Address employee and guest concerns and provide support in escalating situations
*Have extensive knowledge of the Movida food offerings, beverage program and patisserie items
*Demonstrate leadership by displaying job expertise, initiative, a positive attitude and have exceptional communication skills
*Understand and embody the Movida lifestyle, mission and brand
