Restaurant/Café Manager
Upscale French Café is looking for a professional and experienced manager to start immediately.
Location: Café Bilboquet, 26 East 60th Street New York, NY 10022
The Ideal Candidate:
- Successfully managed a high-volume, fast-paced food service environment (preferably a coffee shop or a small restaurant)
- Possesses exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Creates systems, infrastructure, and tools to support daily operations, staff as well as the brand's growth
- Demonstrates excellent leadership and managerial abilities; always leads by example, teaches and develops a team, understanding that people are the key in our business
- Easily connects with guests and pays attention to their needs; possess outstanding customer service skills and can communicate standards of excellent hospitality to others
- Must hold a current NYC Food Handler’s license or must obtain within a month of hire
- Has open availability to commit to 5-6 weekly shifts
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as well as computer knowledge of Micros and Excel
Responsibilities:
- Directly reports to Director of Operations
- Executes day-to-day store operations and supports staff throughout
- Maintains our high standards of service and quality of food
- Maintains store appearance and cleanliness
- Establishes and builds guests relationships; maintains excellent customer service
- Hires and trains all FOH staff
- Creates schedules and completes payroll within budget guidelines
- Controls costs associated with COGS and labor
- Ensures store profitability by increasing sales and lowering expenses
- Performs all orders for the store and maintains inventory
