Michelin/ James Beard experience/ Industry leading kitchens, candidate preferred.
A fine dining restaurant is seeking a passionate, talented Executive Chef to manage our sophisticated dinner service restaurant and a small private room, Ideal Candidate would be someone who can create a mentoring and nuturing atmosphere for all the front and back of the house employees.
The Executive Chef is responsible for the overall quality and profitability of the restaurant.
Candidate will ensures that all personnel and systems function efficiently so that guests are satisfied.
The business achieves budgeted profit levels and employee morale is maintained.
The Executive Chef must work in partnership with and fully communicate with general manager.
Experience in private events is a plus. It is important that our Executive chef understand that the quality and consistency in our food and presentation is our highest priority.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive culinary experience as an Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef in a well-rated, 'industry leading kitchen'
- Actively practice food safety procedures
- Organizational skills
- Strong command of high-end cuisine
- Passion for training and development of others
- Influential, team-oriented leadership style
- Strong writing and computer skills with a degree in culinary arts from an accredited University preferred
