Yokai is a Hi-Fi cocktail bar and charcoal grill inspired by travel throughout Japan. The focus of our kitchen is sourcing pristine Japanese and Californian ingredients and preparing them simply.
We are looking for an experienced host. The ideal candidate has experience working in an “elevated” food environment and can work at a fast pace.
Greeting and seating guests
Creating station list
Playing vinyl records during service
Other duties as directed by the managment
Previous back hosting experience required.
Must know the fundamentals of service and food.
Ability to take direction and also work independently.
Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Must have good judgment, versatility, flexibility.
Motivated and good team player who takes initiative.
Must have a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
Standing/walking approximately 90% of shift.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift and grasp to perform routine tasks for up
to 6 hours at a time.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently.
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation: Hourly ($18.07) plus tips
