Job Details
Point Seven is the newest restaurant from Chef Franklin Becker and Hospitality Department's Stephen Loffredo.  Located in Grand Central, the name POint Seven is a reference to the fact that 70% of the world's surface area is made up of ocean waters and yet only a small fraction of the sea's bounty of food sources make up our food supply.  It is the mission of Point Seven to serve the freshest and most delicious fish and seafood dishes in NYC!  Our passion for seafood is contagious and we want to build a team of foodies that share that enthusiasm!

Role Summary:

-As a Point Seven Host, you will act as a brand ambassador for the Point Seven mission of providing the highest quality fresh fish and seafood in NYC.  You will also act as the first point of contact with our guests and will set the standard of warm, friendly, and accomodating hospitality we provide as a team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Greet guests as they enter the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor
-Utilize Open Table with proficiency to book reservations, seat guests, manage the flow of the dining room, confirm reservations, communicate with guests regarding restaurant information and promotions.
-Assist guests with coat check
-Maintain menu cleanliness, update menus on a regular basis, organize menu storage on the floor and at the host desk
-Maintain office supplies at Host stand necessary for service
-act as brand ambassador for Point Seven

Qualifications:

-Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a host, lead, host, or Maitre D' in an upscale casual or fine dining restaurant
-Proficiency with Open Table reservations software
-Ability to effectively communicate with team members
-Excellent ability to provide customer service
-Exceptional time management and organizational skills
