Obélix is a French Restaurant located in River North that provides a french bistro experience through the lens of two brothers who grew up in Chicago. Obélix was recently named a finalist for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation, the only restaurant in Chicago nominated in this category. Additionally we received top honors from Chicago Magazine for Best New Restaurant in 2022.
The team at Obélix is looking to grow and add more professionals that have a passion for giving unpretentious but thoughtful and warm hospitality to their guests.
Obélix is looking to add hosts on either a full or part time basis with flexibility to be scheduled for brunch and/or dinner shifts.
We are currently open Thursday through Monday for dinner and Saturday through Monday for brunch.
Ideal candidates wll have open availability Thursday through Monday for Dinner and Saturday through Monday for Brunch shifts. There are currently 4-5 shifts available per week with brunch shifts (9:00-3:00) being slightly shorter than dinner shifts (3:00-11:00).

Duties Include:
- Answering the phones and managing the Voicemail box
- Greeting and seating guests
- Managing the floorplan for the service
- Running coat check
- Assisting with menu formatting and printing
- Keeping accurate and complete guest notes and tags
- Maintain communication with servers and other dining room staff
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of hospitality experience
- Open availability Thursday through Monday
- A passion for food, beverage, and hospitality
- Able to problem solve and make decisions
- ServSafe or Tips Alcohol Certification
- Food Handler Certification
