Saltie Girl, Kathy Sidell's Boston based high end seafood fine dining restaurant, is seeking full time Line Cooks to join our team.
Located in the heart of Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood, Saltie Girl provides an intimate setting in which to enjoy Chef Kyle McClelland refined cuisine. The menu showcases an artful blend of New England and locally inspired seafood dishes with an emphasis on simplicity and flavor. From the thoughtfully selected wines to the warm hospitality, Saltie Girl continues to set the standard for fine dining in Boston.
Ideal candidates will be passionate about food, wine, and creative hospitality. They will demonstrate excellent communication skills and will work well with colleagues, both front and back of house. Furthermore, ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of Kitchen service etiquette and mechanics along with an appreciation for the little things that add up to make for a great experience for their guests. Qualifications
•Candidates must be comfortable in a high-volume and open kitchen setting
•Seeking experienced cooks interested in Fish Cookery, Fish Butchery, Oysters Knowledge and looking to further expand knowledge in BOH operations
•Reliable!
•Able to communicate effectively with other team members
•1-2 years experience working in busy restaurants
•Knowledge of modern kitchens, chefs, techniques
•Must have positive attitude, self-motivated
Are able to multi-task and operate in a fast paced environment with a focus on organizationand cleanliness
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A positive attitude and respectful nature
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and follow instructions
- Must be able to stand on their feet for 8+ hours and lift 50lbs
- Full availability including days, nights and weekends
- Directly following designated recipes with attention to every detail, minimizing waste and inspecting all raw materials to ensure quality standards are met.
