Lost Society is an iconic Washington D.C. venue that has been rebranded to reflect its unique vibe and eclectic atmosphere. The restaurant's full renovation has transformed it into a swanky and stylish destination, with a vibe boasting both boho-contemporary and chic-sophisticated feels. From late night lounge with high energy to corporate event settings, we do it all.

The restaurant and lounge, located in the U street corridor of 14th and U street, boasts a stunning rooftop view that is second to none. 

We require a minimum (3) day availability for all our employees. We are only open Thursday-Sunday. We server Dinner Thursday-Saturday 5PM-11PM, and Brunch Saturday & Sunday 12PM-4PM. Servers, must commit to (1) Brunch shift within their 3 day availability.

Responsibilities:

• Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the ordering system
• Making menu item recommendations and upselling 
• Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff and management 
• Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality
• Providing attentive service to diners, like refilling drinks as needed and checking their needs during meals
• Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary
• Performing some sidework throughout the shift (opening, running, and closing) 
• Memorizing the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant wine and cocktail menu
• Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
• Ensuring cooking utensils and kitchen area are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations
• Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Lost Society Employee Handbook
• Accurately record and account for all items ordered, process payments, and balance all sales/receipts in compliance with restaurant policies and procedures
