The Noortwyck is a new restaurant from Eleven Madison Park alumni, Chef Andy Quinn and Sommelier Cedric Nicaise. Located in the heart of Manhattan’s West Village, the restaurant is a combination of the welcoming nature of the neighborhood and the principles of elevated dining. Our team has a combined sense of purpose and are unified in our three driving principles: consistently delicious food, thoughtful beverage offerings, and genuine hospitality.
As a Bartender, you are responsible for creating delicious drinks, establishing regulars and maintain high standards on all aspects of service.
What the position is:
- Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for guests at the bar.
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure constant communication with management, your colleagues, and the kitchen during service.
- Follow steps of service with efficiency.
- Demonstrate a great knowledge of our cocktail program and classic cocktails.
- Make great guest connections and create regulars as a result.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance of the bar and throughout rest of the restaurant at all times.
- Eager to learn and grow.
- Demonstrate expertise of all food and beverage menu items.
What we look for:
- 1+ years experience in a guest-facing restaurant role preferred
- English fluency
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses, and lift objects up to 30 lbs
- Passion for cocktails, wine and beer
- Positive team-first attitude
- Commitment to education and learning
