BIRD DOG currently seeks an experienced fresh-minded Manager to join and lead the team at our Palo Alto flagship. Considered candidates will possess keen leadership skills, share in our commitment to provide a superior guest experience and value creating a supportive environment for all staff. Some of the requirements for the position include, but are not limited to:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Manager in a fine dining environment focusing on high service standards with a hands-on approach
- Lead management team’s growth and progress through direct mentorship to ensure full engagement and accountability
- Ability to embody and promote a positive work culture driven by strong conflict resolution skills
- Has a comprehensive, high level understanding of HR policy and procedure to ensure compliance relative to appropriate workplace behavior, scheduling/timekeeping, and safety; also including new hire onboarding and training programs for both FOH and BOH
- Experience in assisting an innovative beverage/bar program
- Well-versed with current POS systems, web-based scheduling, invoice management, and digital inventory systems
- The ability to take on any role in the FOH at any time for the overall success of the team
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Level I Sommelier or similar certification
- Manager Level Food Handlers Card
- Jedi-Knight temperament
- Fresh perspectives
