Job Details

Frenchette is excited to announce the opening of its second location at The Whitney Museum, expanding our offerings at Frenchette Bakery to include sweet and savory breakfast, lunch, and take-away options. We are actively seeking enthusiastic and dedicated candidates to join our Front of House (FOH) team, individuals with a passion for hospitality who want to contribute to creating a warm and positive environment for our guests.

Now hiring:

  • Baristas
  • Servers
  • Barbacks
  • Bussers

Training will commence in early December, with the anticipated grand opening scheduled for mid-December.

Responsibilities:

Baristas:

  • Craft and serve high-quality coffee and specialty beverages
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station

Servers:

  • Ensure a positive and memorable dining experience for guests
  • Take orders, serve food and beverages, and address customer inquiries
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a smooth and efficient service flow

Barbacks:

  • Assist bartenders in stocking and maintaining bar supplies
  • Comfortable working with and producing batched cocktails
  • Ensure the bar area is clean and well-organized

Bussers:

  • Clear and reset tables efficiently to provide a clean dining environment
  • Assist servers in delivering food to tables
  • Collaborate with the FOH team to maintain cleanliness and order in the dining area

Qualifications:

  • At least 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate others
  • Strong multitasking skills and efficient problem-solving abilities
  • Maintain a safe and high standard of cleanliness following operations and DOH guidelines
  • Flexibility with schedule (open availability, weekends required)
  • Food Handler’s/Food Protection License a plus
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 30lbs

Frenchette Bakery opened in the TriBeCa neighborhood of New York City in October 2020 under the direction of Chef/Owners Lee Hanson and Riad Nasr, who also run the restaurants Frenchette (TriBeCa) and Le Rock (Midtown). The bakery focuses on French baking and viennoiserie traditions by lead baker Peter Edris and Executive Pastry Chef Michelle Palazzo, incorporating ancient and local heirloom grains where possible.

Opening in Fall 2023 - Frenchette Bakery at the Whitney - a new larger and expanded second location at the Whitney Museum in the Meatpacking District, with the same bakery focus as well a new cafe service planned.
