Job Description
Job Specific responsibilities:
1. Support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including staff management, customer service, and financial performance.
2. Assist in developing and implementing strategies to achieve sales targets, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals.
3. Help recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, ensuring they adhere to established policies and procedures.
4. Collaborate with the General Manager to enforce operational standards, maintain cleanliness and safety protocols, and ensure smooth operations.
5. Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and controlling food and beverage costs.
6. Contribute to the development and execution of marketing and promotional initiatives to drive business growth.
7. Analyze financial reports and sales data to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations.
8. Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
9. Assist in fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, and providing guidance and support to staff members.
10. Assume managerial responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in the restaurant industry.
2. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, customers, and stakeholders.
4. Familiarity with restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, kitchen management, and customer service.
5. Basic knowledge of financial processes, such as monitoring costs, managing budgets, and analyzing reports.
6. Understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining compliance.
7. Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings, as required by the restaurant's operations.
9. Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred, although relevant experience may be considered.
