Empowered Hospitality is looking for a Restaurant Manager for one of our fantastic hospitality clients in NYC!
Restaurant Manager Opportunity:
We are looking for A Restaurant Manager that assists in daily FOH operations and dining room service in accordance with standard operating procedures set by the Director of Operations. The Restaurant Manager is a leader on the floor, executing top-notch service while coaching their team on service standards and guest satisfaction.
Restaurant Manager Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the entire leadership team to promote a strong and unified dynamic—breaking barriers of separation between FOH and BOH
- Maintains high service standards across all Dining Room staff, providing training and development as needed
- Leads daily pre-shift meetings when necessary
- Oversees organization, efficiency, and policies pertaining to service in the dining room
- Provides daily service reports on performance, sales, and special notes
- Prepares materials necessary for daily service, including menus, reservation notes, and floor plans
- Works with the Assistant General Manager and General Manager to execute goals for day-to-day operations as well as long-term initiatives to drive sales, manage costs, and grow the business
Restaurant Manager Requirements and Skills:
- Minimum 1+ years working in a similar restaurant environment
- Previous management experience preferred
- Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and restaurant POS systems
- Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
- NYC Food Protection Certificate
- Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
