Senior Accounting Manager

Job Summary:
The Senior Accounting Manager will play a large role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of both Tommie and Thompson Hollywood properties. This is a hands-on role where you will not only be responsible for assisting the Director of Finance with preparing and examining financials, running reports, and implementing department procedures, but also where you will be expected to mentor and develop the other accounting associates.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor day-to-day operations of the accounting department
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and invoices
  • Assist DOF with preparing financial reports for P&L meetings
  • Create and/or implement department policies and procedures
  • Manage and coach junior accounting team members to help with their professional development
  • Run auditing reports to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards
  • Assist with any governmental reports for the company, e.g., required reports from the Census Bureau, IRS, etc.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure risk management strategies are implemented across the campus
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, especially Excel and Sage
  • Experience with Craftable is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking skills
  • 3-5 years of experience, at least 2 years in hotels or F&B 
  • Understanding of F&B operations

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
  • Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, repetitive movements, and other movements including bending, twisting, pulling/pushing, and stooping, grasping, and crawling to complete some tasks.
  • Must show proof of vaccination against Covid-19.


Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $85,000.00)
