Executive Chef, Steakhouse

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 plus Dental, Health and Vision Insurance + PTO

Location: San Francisco, CA

We’re working with a reputable Steakhouse company that has multiple locations in California; They are a modern brand and have a huge selection of imported and domestic Wagyu steaks, and always maintain their incredible hospitality to guests from the food to the service. They are currently looking for an Executive Chef to lead their large kitchen team, and require this person to not only have the culinary skills but the desire and ability to mentor people into more progressive roles.

Executive Chef Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the culinary operations and back of house personnel
  • Ensure food is prepared, plated, and served efficiently in accordance with food health and safety regulations
  • Lead menu engineering and development to reflect the restaurant’s concept
  • Recruit and train the culinary staff, providing a strong team culture and environment
  • Work closely with front of house employees to ensure guests are provided with an outstanding dining experience
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the restaurant’s culinary operations
  • Manage labor and food costs
  • Inventory and waste management

Executive Chef Requirements:

  • 5 years of culinary leadership experience, preferably within a fine dining setting
  • Well-rounded and motivated culinary leader who can hold their own in a fast-paced environment
  • An eye for detail and a commitment to quality
  • Passionate about providing exceptional dining experiences
  • A positive and humble personality and can support and guide a team
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in catering/banqueting is an asset
