Salary:
$70/78k base salary
+ 3% of New business Net Sales events (paid out Monthly)
+ 1.5 or 2% of directr/recurring clients (so no new business that this person will bring but direct inquiries or repeating customers)
+ HC benefits and 2 weeks of PTO

This is a new and pivotal role that offers the opportunity to shape and drive our expansion in the events and catering market.
The Events Manager will set up systems and protocols for events + catering and large parties, so we are looking for someone very familiar and strong with it. Able to sella and represent the group opportunities in the best light. Bringing new clients to the group a huge plus if you have a portfolio already of connections.
**Position Overview:**
The Events & Catering Manager will play a critical role in launching and developing the events and catering program in New York City. This position will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing a variety of events, from private parties and corporate functions to off-site catering services. The successful candidate will be a creative, results-oriented professional with a passion for hospitality and a knack for turning ideas into memorable experiences.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Program Development:**
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for events and catering program, including defining target markets, pricing, and marketing plans.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with event planners, corporate clients, and other relevant organizations.
2. **Event Planning and Execution:**
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique event needs and create tailored proposals.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events and catering services, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for clients and guests.
3. **Sales and Marketing:**
- Drive the growth of the events and catering program through effective sales and marketing initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for outreach, promotions, and advertising to increase bookings and revenue.
4. **Menu Development:**
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create and customize catering menus that align with client preferences and dietary requirements.
5. **Client Relationships:**
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Solicit feedback and make improvements based on client input.
6. **Logistics and Operations:**
- Manage all logistical aspects of events and catering, including staffing, equipment, and inventory.
- Ensure the timely and efficient setup and breakdown of events.
7. **Quality Assurance:**
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess and improve future offerings.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in events and catering management, with a focus on sales and program development.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Creativity and attention to detail in event planning and execution.
- A strong network in the events and catering industry in New York City is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
