Offering panoramic views of the Boston Harbor and skyline, Hook + Line will be a seafood centric, champagne drenched gathering place in the Seaport. Hook + Line is high octane and high energy, with an all-day marketplace, expansive restaurant and menu driven by fresh catch, vendor partnerships and high-end whimsy reflected through food.
Scope & General Purpose: As a Server, you will provide signature Hook + Line Hospitality and guide overall guest experiences from start to finish.

Schedule: Full Time, varying schedule, across Hook + Line’s business hours
Management Structure: Reports to General Manager, and all Hook + Line Managers
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Core Server Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate positivity, enthusiasm, and energy for hospitality, through time with guests and staff
- Seek meaningful connections with guests to ensure repeat business
- Accurately and efficiently take orders from guests and enter into the point-of-sale system
- Follow all steps of service, providing glassware, dishware, and utensils as necessary
- Support all aspects of front of house service including assisting with correct setup and breakdown before/after service, cleaning of the restaurant, equipment, furniture, and care of physical plant
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of food menus, wines by the glass, beer, and cocktails
- Express a desire to continue learning our full food, wine, and beverage menus
- Complete all assigned opening and closing sidework and re-stocking as needed
- Communicate any guest food concerns or allergies with the kitchen, and any negative guest experiences or special requests to front of house management
- Understand and best represent the Hook + Line concept and brand, including culinary, beverage, and hospitality
- Follow all established food safety, alcohol service, health code, and cleanliness practices
- Support training of new staff
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, or walk for extended periods of time, walk up and down stairs
- Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience working in hospitality required
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing team work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- High integrity and professionalism
- Understanding of operational flow of venues and Hook + Line Steps of Service
- A willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continuously improve
- A positive, joyful, upbeat, and energetic attitude – demonstrating Hook + Line Hospitality
